Magic Kingdom welcomes new princess
The only thing that was able to shake Hurricane Sandy from the headlines Tuesday was that Princess Leia is now a Disney Princessnot exactly, but close enough. Disney announced their $4 billion dollar purchase of Lucasfilm, causing fandoms around the globe to explode. Disney will be adding Star Wars: Episode VII to the movie franchise, which is anticipated to hit theatres sometime in 2015 (Avengers 2 should probably just give up now). So literally the entire world can only wait skeptically and remember Lucas reflection of the merger: For the past 35 years, one of my greatest pleasures has been to see Star Wars passed from one generation to the next. Its now time for me to pass Star Wars on to a new generation of filmmakers. Ive always believed that Star Wars could live beyond me, and I thought it was important to set up the transition during my lifetime.
Octomom goes to rehab
Nadya Sulemanaka Octomomis finally in rehab. The mother of 14 hit her breaking point after she allegedly found her 11-year-old watching her own masturbation video online. The story broke after TMZ attained communication between the Orange County Department of Children and Family Services and Sulemans nanny. The nanny claimed that Suleman and her boyfriend at the time w! ould have a talk with her son about not looking at porn websites. However there may be a light at the end of the tunnel. The king of family drama, Lindsay Lohans father Michael Lohan, is taking responsibility for Sulemans rehabilitation. Even though he has failed at admitting his own daughter to rehab, Lohan has been running a Florida-based nonprofit organization for substance abusers, which has already completed over 25 interventions, including Sulemans.
Lil Wayne suffers from seizures
Lil Wayne has been groundedand not by his mom. After suffering two seizure-like episodes Thursday while on board a private plane, the rapper has doctors orders to stay out of the air and is recovering at his mothers home. Wayne has told close friends and family that the seizures were brought on by the extensive work and stress he has encountered since being released from prison and is calling the scare a life-changing event. The complications have caused a major setback in Waynes trial vs. Quincy Jones III, who Wayne is suing for his scandalous portrayal of the performer in a documentary. Wayne was set to testify in court Friday, but the testimony has since been postponed for an extended period of time. This will most likely lead to a mistrial or the case continuing on without Waynes testimony.
