Lil Wayne taking seizure medication

Lil Wayne is reportedly taking medication to prevent any more seizure-like incidents after he was taken ill on a flight last month.

The 'Lollipop' rapper was taken ill on a flight in October which saw his private jet forced to make an emergency landing in Texas where he was then rushed to hospital.

He has reportedly been prescribed drugs to prevent another episode.

According to gossip website TMZ, during a recent interview with MTV, the rapper revealed the new medication was responsible for his profuse sweating.

He said: 'Please let them know that I have an air unit, but because of the sound, they don't want the air on, so it's super hot in here ... I don't want y'all to think I'm on nothing, man. I'm on seizure medicine. That's all.'

At the time of the incidents, a representative for the rapper claimed he had suffered 'severe migraine and dehydration' rather than a seizure.

Following his medical scare, Lil Wayne took to his twitter account to thank fans for their support.
