Lil Wayne postpones appearance at Jefferson Mall [Fashion]

Rapper-turned-fashion designer Lil Wayne, scheduled to appear at Dillard's in Jefferson Mall Saturday afternoon, has postponed his appearance until a later date according to a press release issued by the national department store chain. No reason was given for the delay, though the musician had suffered from seizures aboard his private jet Thursday evening, prompting an emergency landing in Texas for treatment.

Lil Wayne had recently stepped away from music to venture into fashion like many of his contemporaries, including Sean "Puffy" Combs and Kanye West. His first collection, TRUKFIT, is a contemporary street wear line aimed at the skater scene, the collection making its exclusive debut this week at Dillard's stores and at dillards.com.

Anyone who obtained a wristband to attend the VIP promotion at Jefferson Mall via the purchase of $150 or more from the TRUKFIT collection is instructed to keep both the wristband and their receipt in order to attend the rescheduled affair, date to be determined. Furthermore, Dillard's plans to extend the wristband offer to the first 300 shoppers who buy $150 or more from Lil Wayne's debut line on the day the rapper is finally able to ! make an appearance.
