Lil Wayne Settles Lawsuit By Producer Deezle Out Of Court
Lil Wayne recently settled a lawsuit filed by New Orleans producer Deezle last year, claiming he wasn't properly compensated for his contributions to the rapper's work.
The producer (real name: Darius Harrison) filed suit against Weezy in early 2011, claiming to have produced several tracks from the rapper's multi-platinum 2008 album, Tha Carter III, including hits such as "Lollipop," "Mrs. Officer," "Whip It," and "Let The Beat Build".
Deezle claims that Lil Wayne and Cash Money Records grossed more than $70 million in revenue off the music he produced, and was seeking $20 million of that total.
Although Wayne initially denied Deezle's claims, both sides have settled out-of-court, agreeing to a confidential agreement, reports TMZ.
As of press time, details about the settlement were not released.
The case has been dismissed.
