Lil Wayne and company being sued for assault

Photographer claims he was hit in the back of the head with a skateboard while trying to take a picture of the rapper.

Lil Wayne is being sued by a photographer who claims he was struck in the head with a skateboard by a member of the rappers entourage.

The lawsuit was filed Friday in Los Angeles and was obtained by E! News. The complaint names Dwayne Michael Carter (Lil Wayne) and his Young Money label as a defendant in the case.

The plaintiff, Alfred Marino, claims he was hit on the back of the head with a skateboard by one of Lil Waynes entourage as he was trying to take a picture of the rapper. According to the allegations, Carter and his entourage were walking around near Fairfax Avenue in West Los Angeles when the incident happened.

Marino is unable to identify who hit him, but claims that it was a Young Money staffer who attacked him from behind. He seeks damages in excess of $25,000 because of 'lost wages' and 'earning capacity.'

The filing concedes that Marino does not know the real name of the defendant, and is suing Lil Wayne only through knowledge of his stage name. The alleged incident is said to have happened on May 3, 2012.

The allegations come a few days after Carter reportedly got into a confrontation with a cameraman on Saturday during a pre-Super Bowl flag football game, according MTV News.
