Tomorrow (February 9) marks the release of the limited edition Retna Society by SUPRA sneaker and SOHH had an opportunity to get an exclusive word in from SUPRA founder Angel Cabada about the new release.

Cabada said the partnership stems from Los Angeles graffiti writer Retna hooking up with a pretty well-known professional skater.

"We chose to work with pro skater, Terry Kennedy's signature shoe, the Society, because Retna loves that model," Cabada told SOHH when asked how the new release came together. "This shoe can be easily worn by anyone with 2 feet." (SOHH)

The limited edition high-top kicks are decked out with black suede and multi-color meshing.

For their latest release Supra has joined forces with acclaimed LA graffiti writer Retna, who recently became known to a wider audience through the LA MOCA "Art In The Streets" show. The special edition Society high top sneaker comes with "Supra" written all over in Retna's distinct hieroglyphic style on a black suede upper. Further features include double velcro straps, red and blue jersey mesh accents, padded red and blue jersey mesh lining, on top a red vulcanized sole with smooth white, single wrap foxing. Furthermore included are a Retna signature sock lin! er and hang tag. A portion of the shoes proceeds are donated to Plaza de la Raza, a community arts center in Los Angeles's Lincoln Heights neighborhood. This highly limited sneaker - only 413 are made - is scheduled to drop on February 9 at Factory 413, SUPRA Paris, SUPRA NYC, and factory413.com. (High Snobiety)

Last year, SUPRA teamed up with Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne and pro skater Stevie Williams.

SUPRA is proud to present a new Stevie Williams S1W with a colorway by Lil Wayne. The collab represents not only the friendship shared by Wayne and Stevie, but a synthesis of skateboarding and hip hop. "I asked Wayne if he wanted to do a colorway with my shoe," Stevie said, "and he said he was up for it.
