Lil Wayne has thanked his fans for their support after a health scare hospitalised him on Friday (October 26).

It was reported that, during a flight between Los Angeles and his native Louisiana, the rapper had taken unwell and the plane was forced to take an emergency landing so that he could receive treatment in hospital.

Initial reports claimed that he had experienced a seizure, but a representative for the hip-hop star told MTV that he was merely having problems with migraines and was at home in Louisiana recuperating

Speaking to his fans on Twitter, he wrote:

The incident is the second time in a week that the rapper has taken ill, with reports claiming that his private jet was forced to make an emergency landing in Texas after he suffered "seizure-like symptoms" mid-flight. However, his representatives insisted that he had only received treatment for dehydration and a severe migraine.

Earlier this month, Lil Wayne revealed that he has recorded 90 tracks with Dr. Dre, all unheard by the public.

The Young Money rapper, who is responsible for the careers of both Drake and Nicki Minaj, said: "I've always worked with Dre. I'm not sure if you guys know how Dre works, Dre always sends you a song, so I done, probably did like 90 songs for Dre. You just never know which one he gonna put out."

Lil Wayne will release his new solo album, 'I Am Not A Human Being II', in December.
