Lil Wayne was reprimanded by a judge on Monday after failing to appear for a court hearing relating to his copyright infringement lawsuit against Quincy Jones.

The rapper is currently in the middle of a legal battle with Jones over allegations he used the rapper's music in an unauthorized 2009 documentary, and he was due to give his deposition in front of a jury on Monday. However, after being hospitalized twice within the past five days for a migraine and dehydration, he was not well enough to appear in person and he instead presented his testimony via a video, which was filmed in June.
Lil Wayne failed to take the proceeding seriously and in video footage obtained by TMZ.com, he can be heard laughing, swearing and giving glib responses to a lawyer. The judge was less than impressed upon viewing the tape on Monday, and according to the site, the rapper was chastised for displaying "unreasonable conduct in the deposition" and "irresponsible behavior."
