Veteran "American Idol" judge Randy Jackson has already plotted with new castmate Keith Urban to create a supergroup with rapper Lil Wayne.

The new batch of "American Idol" judges have only had a couple of days to work together, but Jackson has already made big plans for himself and the country rocker. On Monday, Jackson took a moment from the second day of New York City callbacks to talk to "Idol" host Ryan Seacrest on his radio show about just how well the new panel is getting along.

He said, "I've know Keith Urban for about four or five years. ... I love him. He's an amazing musician. He plays the guitar so well. It's unbelievable. He and I have already been talking about putting together a supergroup. Me, him and Lil Wayne and some others. He's amazingly talented, and I think his insight has added a whole new meaning, because we've never had anybody country."

With Urban, Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey on the panel for the 12th season, Jackson has no doubt that the revamped show will find another superstar singer. He added, "Idol is the only show that I know of that continuously has stars that are produced on this show. ... I think it's still going to be really strong, but I think we may actually find that pop star again. Someb! ody that has the look. The whole fashion vibe. That has the voice and the talent. I think we will find that pop star. ... Look this panel is on fire! The show is on fire!"
