Lil Wayne Calls Kanye West's Comments About Being #1 The 'Ultimate Compliment'

After Kanye West declared that Lil Wayne should top MTV's 2013 "Hottest MC In The Game" list early this week, Lil Wayne caught wind of the comment... and responded via Twitter.

During an interview with DJ Enuff on Hot 97's "The Angie Martinez Show," Ye hailed Weezy. "I think that [Lil] Wayne is the number one rapper in the world."

Later, Wayne took to Twitter, flattered by Kanye's words. "That's the ultimate compliment coming from a humble,great,extremely creative,& superior genius... I appreciate that Yeezy!" he tweeted (@LilTuneChi).

Kanye and his DONDA design team was enlisted by Wayne for the cover of his upcoming album, I Am Not a Human Being II, which is due March 26.
