Lil Wayne's Tour Schedule Leaves Little Room For Rest And Recovery

Image
. On Friday Lil Wayne's Tour Schedule Leaves Little Room For Rest And Recovery was a top story. Here is the recap: (Radio.com) Despite Lil Wayne's recent health scare, the details surrounding his summer tour offer no signs that he will be slowing down. Instead of resting and taking it easy, Weezy will be hitting the road for 40 stops in the U.S., along with T.I. and Future. The trio will embark on the America's Most Wanted Music Festival on July 9th in Alabama and wrap up September 1st in California, according to Billboard. As previously reported by Radio.com, Tunechi appeared in a video last week where he first announced the tour. He is joined by T.I. in the clip, where they ensured fans that Wayne is still scheduled to take the stage in the wake of recent health complications. Limp Bizkit Team Up With Lil Wayne

. On Wednesday Limp Bizkit Team Up With Lil Wayne was a top story. Here is the recap: (Radio.com) When Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst announced his band had signed with Lil Wayne's Cash Money recording home in February 2012, fans and critics questioned the wisdom of the union. With the release of a new single, they provide answers. Sunday (March 24) night, Limp Bizkit unveiled a new track, "Ready To Go," from their forthcoming album Stampede of the Disco Elephants. The profanity-laden single offers a look into Limp Bizkit's Cash Money direction, snagging a feature with in-demand rapper Lil Wayne. The Polow Da Don-produced track plays up the rowdy sound that Limp Bizkit made famous in the '90s. Durst's in-your-face style is on full display as he refers to himself as the "motherf******* rock God" in his first line. The chorus further establishes his devil-may-care attitude. "They say that rock s*** doesn't rock anymore/We drinking gin until

Rapper Lil Wayne says he's an epileptic

NEW YORK (AP) - Lil Wayne says he's an epileptic and has had seizures for years. In an interview with Los Angeles-based radio station Power 106 on Thursday, the 30-year-old rapper said epilepsy caused his most recent health scare earlier this month when he was rushed to a hospital. Wayne said he had three back-to-back seizures. The Grammy winner says: "I've had a bunch of seizures, y'all just never hear about them." Wayne says he "could've died" and that the recent seizures were a result of "just plain stress, no rest, overworking myself." He released his 10th album, "I Am Not a Human Being II," this week. He'll embark on a 40-city tour in July with rappers T.I. and Future. The New Orleans native, whose given name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., is one of the biggest stars not only of his genre but in all music. ___ Online: http://www.youngmoney.com/ Copyright 2013 The Associated Press. POSTED: Friday, March 29, 2013, 9:27 AM "The reason being for the seizures is just plain stress, no rest and overworking myself. That's typical me, though," Wayne said. (Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP) There's been a ton of questions surrounding Lil Wayne's health lately, and on Thursday, the larger-than-life rap icon put the speculation to rest when he revealed that he suffers from epilepsy. Weezy called into Power 106 in Los Angeles on Thursday and spoke with DJ Felli Fel about a host of topics, including his most recent hospitalization on March 12. Initially, reports stated that the star MC was being prepared for his last rites and had to have his stomach pumped multiple times due to high amounts of codeine in his system. It was suggested that Wayne's seizures were a result of a syrup addiction, but Wayne finally told his side of the story. "The thing is, man, the bad news is, I'm an epileptic, so I'm prone to seizures," he said. "This

During an interview with Power 106's DJ Felli Fel, Tunechi--who mentioned that he is "100 percent now"--revealed that he's epileptic and is "prone to seizures." He tells the radio station, "This wasn't my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh...I have had a bunch of seizures, you just never hear about them." Weezy announces summer return of America's Most Wanted tour But that doesn't take away from the seriousness of his latest health scare, when the celeb suffered three seizures in a row. "My heart rate went down to 30 percent," he said. "I have people around me who know how to handle it. This time was real bad because I had three back to back and the third one was so bad". So what happened? While some have suggested that sippin' on some sizzurp

Lil Wayne Vs Justin Timberlake For No. 1

Image
03/28/2013. Lil Wayne's new album "I Am Not a Human Being II," is expected to be the biggest new release of the week but sales of the album may not be strong enough to dethrone Justin Timberlake from the No. 1 spot on the Billboard album chart. Wayne's new album is now to be on track to sell between 190,000 and 210,000, industry sources have estimated to Billboard. If those numbers hold true Wayne should have the highest debut on the chart next week, but he is only expected to come in at No. 2. Billboard says their sources indicate that Wayne's projected sales numbers will likely not be enough to outsell Justin Timberlake's current No. 1 album "The 20/20 Experience" which debuted this past week with sales of 968,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The projections also indicate that Wayne's sales will be way down from his previous album. That album, "Tha Carter V," debuted at No. 1 after selling 964,000 copies its first week in stores

Lil Wayne, Gunplay Get 'A Little Aggressive' On Human Being II

DVLP has been in tune with Lil Wayne 's sonic frequency for quite some time now. The hit producer who used to go by the name Develop, but has since dropped all the vowels from his moniker is responsible for 2005's "Fireman," Wayne's first hit single in the post-Mannie Fresh, Cash Money era. He's been crafting tracks for Weezy ever since, including a song on the rapper's latest, I Am Not a Human Being II. For "Beat the Sh--," DVLP provided a taunting, smack-fest that's fitting for Wayne's martian mischief. "It's funny because when [Wayne] played it for me after it was done, he looked at me like, 'D, this ain't for radio,' " the producer recalled to MTV News on Monday. "He let it be known right from the jump that it was a little aggressive." Lil Wayne Says Hes 'More Than Good,' Wants You To Kiss His Fist

Last week, TMZ reported that Lil Wayne was on his death bed after he allegedly went on a sizzurp binge (which his camp disputes), and the rapper was finally released from the hospital this past Tuesday (Mar 19) after spending almost a week in the ICU. There has been so much speculation surrounding the status of the Grammy Award winning rap star, so Weezy decided to clear up the rumors by releasing a video he recorded exclusively for TMZ, since they were the ones, after-all, who had everyone thinking Lil Wayne was about to die. In the video a very vibrant, happy, and healthy looking Wayne, with a lollipop in his hand, lets the world know that he is good (more than good, as matter of fact). He also thanks his fans for their continued support and prayers. Weezy also mentions his new album I Am Not A Human Being II, which drops March 26th, and also states that he is still going on the Americas Most Wanted Tour, starting July 5th, along with some of his closest friends in the game, like T

Lil Wayne, Sizzurp And Seizures?

Image
03/21/2013. (Radio.com) Lil Wayne's recent health scare, sparked by multiple seizures, has called into question the rapper's use of Sizzurp, the promethazine and codeine drink mixture that is known to cause death. The drink mix, which has been popularized by Wayne and other rappers, includes soda and sometimes dissolved jolly rancher candies. And while Wayne's camp has denied that his Sizzurp consumption contributed to his seizures and lengthy stay in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center's ICU, medical experts say seizures are a cause of intense drug use. "When you mix promethazine with codeine, you lower the seizure threshold," Mike Bloom, CEO of Pasadena Recovery, told Radio.com. "When it's mixed with Jolly Ranchers and soda, it tastes good and you can easily take too much of it. That's likely what he's doing, he's not aware of how much he's taking. But it can make seizure more likely." On Monday (March 18), with plenty of speculation a

Lil Wayne "unstable" in ICU following seizures

The 30-year-old rapper was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday (13.03.13) after collapsing while filming the music video for Nicki Minajs new single, 'High School'. He was released on Wednesday (14.03.13) but according to gossip website TMZ: just hours later one of his bodyguards found him in his room, on the floor and unconscious. Wayne was rushed to the hospital again, but this time he did not stabilize. He was taken to ICU, where he was placed in restraints because he was shaking uncontrollably. He is now in an induced coma in intensive care where his condition is said to be unstable. The cause of the seizures is unclear but TMZ claim he had to have his stomach pumped three times after doctors found high amounts of codeine in his system. This isn't Lil Wayne's first health scare; the 'Lollipop' rapper was taken ill on a flight in October which saw his private jet forced to make an emergency landing in Texas where he was then rushed
