Kanye West's A Fan & Lil Wayne Talks Skateboarding W/ Odd Future, Says Taco

Odd Future's rise to stardom has not slowed down as members from the West Coast crew have discussed just how Hollywood they have become since exploding onto the mainstream last year.

According to group members Tyler, the Creator and Taco, conversations with hip-hop elite ranging from Lil Wayne to Pharrell Williams are nothing out of the ordinary these days.

In the past year, Tyler has formed a bond with musical idol Pharrell Williams, Lil Wayne and Kanye West and even interviewed Nas for an XXL magazine cover story. "It's cool. That sh-- is cool. Awkward, but it's tight. They actually f--- with us," Tyler said of all his new friends. "Lil Wayne is actually a fan, Kanye is actually like a fan. I actually talk to those dudes all the time." Taco said he and Wayne usually talk about skating, and Earl began to recall a phone conversation between him and Weezy before he was made fun of by the rest of the Wolf Gang. "The moment is gone now, but I just kept saying 'no' and it was awkward," Earl squealed. "We don't really talk about anything deep," Tyler said. "I don't know, I don't really sit there and say, 'D*mn, what conversation are me and Wayne having right now?'" (MTV)

Last fall, Weezy gave his co-sign of OF and placed special emphasis on Taco.

"I just rock with 'em. Shout out my man Taco that's my dude," Weezy F. said of OF and member Taco in particular. "I'm just real cool with the homies. Shout out Tyler." While Wayne is surely busy touring, prepping releases for his Young Money collective and recording for his own I Am Not a Human Being 2, the fiery lyricist plans to catch ! the grou p while they are out on the road on there current tour. "I'm gonna catch a few of their shows, go check out a few of their shows and stuff," he said. "Shout to OF, Odd Future, Young Money, Cash Money, Wolf Gang." (RapFix)

Pharrell Williams previously admitted he missed out on an opportunity to sign the group.

"I was on my tour bus and my homeboy Scott Vener was like, 'Yo, you got to hear these kids called Odd Future. It's this kid Tyler, the Creator. This sh*t is dope. You should sign them.' It's funny because I was just bumping their sh*t and looking at all [Tyler's] YouTubes, you know, where the songs were uploaded on YouTube, just listening to it. And then I found [their manager] Chris Clancy and by the time I found Chris, they were already talking about signing -- I missed that boat. I was mad as sh*t but I'm happy because Clancy's idea to have them as the youngest in charge doing their own sh*t -- just all of the stuff I always preach about, he was very head strong about making sure they did that. It had nothing to do with me but it was just interesting to see some sh*t that I had said and things I wanted to see happen were actually happening. Young kids deciding they wanted to do music their way, some sh*t they want to say and just take their destiny by the horns and just go." (Sucker Free)

Recently, West Coast rapper Game likened Tyler to Grammy-winning rapper Eminem.

"When you're on a song with Tyler you can say whatever the f*ck you want," Game said. "I always say what I want but I don't think I go as far as Tyler...I think he's like the West Coast Eminem. He don't give a f*ck. He just rhyme about whatever and it's like right out of an open book. I like him more tha! n I like most new rappers. He don't really want anything other than just to rap."
