Rapper Lil Wayne cancels show

HIP-HOP star Lil Wayne has cancelled his solo Melbourne show on Tuesday.

But he will still appear at the Eminem concert on Thursday.

The rapper said scheduling conflicts meant he would not arrive in Australia in time for his planned show at Rod Laver Arena.

He also cancelled concerts planned for Perth on Friday and Adelaide on Sunday.

Tickets will be refunded.

The Federal Government has approved Lil Wayne's visa despite him being jailed last year on a weapons charge and on probation on drug charges.

Eminem, with Lil Wayne and Hillhop Hoops, will play a sold-out show at Etihad Stadium on December 1.

Lil Wayne plans to return to Australia next year.
