Lil Wayne has axed a trio of shows in Australia at the last minute due to a "scheduling conflict".

The Lollipop hitmaker was due to play a concert in Perth on Friday (25Nov11) before performing in Adelaide on Sunday (27Nov11) and Melbourne on Tuesday (29Nov11).

However, the rapper has been forced to bow out of the gigs as he can no longer fly out to Australia as early as he had planned.

Promoters have assured fans that Lil Wayne will be Down Under in 2012 for an extended headlining tour.

Aussie fans still have a chance to see the hip-hop star in 2011 - he will support Eminem in Melbourne and Sydney next week (begs28Nov11).
