Lil Wayne earned a spot in the history books this week, when he scored his 100th entry on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart this week, putting him among music's elite.

According to Billboard.biz, the hip-hop superstar earned the feat as a featured guest on French Montana's new single, "Pop That," which debuted at #57.

Weezy become just the third artist and second rapper to achieve the astronomical feat, dating to the first incarnation of Billboard's original R&B chart (the "Harlem Hit Parade") in 1942.

Jay-Z leads all rappers with 108 chart titles, while both Hov and Wayne trails to James Brown, who's banked 111 entries between 1956 and 1993.

Weezy made his first appearance on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart in May 1999 as a featured guest on Juvenile's "Back That Thang Up." That single The peaked at #5, becoming Lil Wayne's first of 29 top 10s, which helped him tie Ludacris for the most top 10s in the chart's archives among rappers.

On the Billboard Hot 100, which ranks all music genres, he holds the third-most entries (102), following the cast of "Glee" (203), and Elvis Presley (108).
