Lil Wayne under investigation for assault

Lil Wayne and his entourage are under investigation for assault, after a fan claimed someone within the crew hit him over the head with a skateboard.

The alleged victim of the assault, Alfredo Marino, told US gossip website TMZ about the attack and plans to sue the rapper and his crew for "damages suffered and continues to suffer".

Marino explained that he had approached Lil Wayne and his skateboarding entourage to tell him how big a fan he was and ask for a photo. However, Marino was told to leave by the crew. He then retreated to his car, where he proceeded to take sneaky pictures of Lil Wayne. This upset the Cash Money star, who then allegedly walked over to Marino's car and began threatening him.

According to Marino, Lil Wayne began shouting: "Don't you know all it takes is a word and these motherfuckers are going to fuck you up?"

He then claims it is at this point when he was hit over the head with a skateboard, which floored him and left him bleeding. Marino also claims to have suffered a concussion and vertigo as a result of the attack.

Marino's lawyer, Craig Chisvin, told TMZ: "My client will enforce all of his rights under the law and all individuals responsible for this outrageous incident will be blamed for the damages that my client has suffered and continues to suffer."

Lil Wayne is planning on releasing a memoir documenting his time in prison, which is titled 'Gone To November', on November 28 this year.
