Lil Wayne, Mirror

Lil Wayne is often seen as the rent-a-rapper go-to when an artist wants to add a little extra star quailty to their track and secure themselves a reasonable chart position. But who does the Young Money boss call when he needs a bit of stardust sprinkled over his own hip-hop cuts? On this occasion it's crooner of the year Bruno Mars, who adds a touch of his vocal flair to Wayne's latest single 'Mirror'.

"I see the blood in your eyes/ I see the love in disguise/ I see the pain hidden in your pride," the pint-sized performer broods over melancholy harmonies and echoing beats, while Bruno sings to the mirror, "Through my rise and fall/ You've been my only friend," with more emo-angst than Twilight's Edward Cullen's sultry gaze. The final result is much like the heartthrob himself; love-torn, moody and destined to be popular.
